The client desired new full height ceilings on the second floor that then contained only attic space and smaller bedrooms with low head-clearance. The entire roof was removed and enhanced with new higher-pitched slopes that allowed space for Palladian style windows. This resulted in a pragmatic increase in floor area for the master bedroom suite and the other guest rooms. The new façade matched the existing wood siding so that the addition looks like it has always been part of the building.
