An existing one-story home had a new second level designed and added to turn it into a center-hall colonial. To accomplish this, the existing level was altered to rearrange and reuse the space for the living areas of the home. Also as part of the first floor change, a new porch was added to the front with Tuscan columns.

The upper level contains the private bedroom areas and the associated bathrooms and storage spaces. This new level allows for more spacious areas for the bedrooms, as well as the living areas that is in accordance with what can be found in a typical newer home.
