The new recreational building is a 1-1/2 story public facility that contains a pair of back-to-back full-sized gymnasiums. The gymnasiums are utilized for police athletic leagues functions as well as for the township’s own sports league use.
The first floor contains batting cages, a party room, a video arcade, bathrooms, and various offices. The second floor has a meeting room and support office for the associated functions. It is a large building and its design specified low-maintenance and durable materials knowing that the structure would be frequently used and needed to handle potential abuse.
