This new building is utilized as a new sports support building for the Borough of Wharton. An existing aging building was demolished to make way for the new structure. The exterior design is meant to evoke a youthful, modern feeling with a look of graceful strength. The curved metal standing-seam roof sits on top of trusses that are braced at their ends with exposed metal brackets.

The roof design resembles old field house roofs, and the curves match the arches on a nearby gazebo. This adjacent 'turn of the century' gazebo was constructed of stone that was indigenous to the area. The new structure also uses stone to connect it to the established site.

Green was selected as the color of the highly visible metal roof to pay tribute to the home team's main athletic color.
