Strauss Discount Auto, an automotive parts and service chain, experienced several years of significant growth in which they sought to expand their sales territory with new buildings and update a number of their existing stores.

A typical location contains large parts and general retail sales areas, and an attached service garage that normally consists of six to nine individual service bays. Some locations had special site considerations that affected the layout and configuration of the facility.

Fox Architectural Design, PC developed the final design layouts based upon the company’s needs and desires for each location. These layouts included all of the building services, sales fixture layouts, lighting, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. Assistance and analysis was provided in the bidding process. During the course of construction, regular site visits allowed for the processing of contractor payments as well as coordinating construction issues, verifying the accuracy of work, and construction problem solving.
