Strauss Discount Auto, an automotive parts service chain, was in the process of a rapid expansion of their sales territory and a new building was needed in the Bloomfield market area to replace an older and inefficient location. This new retail and auto service building was the last new building to be built on an existing partially redeveloped site along Bloomfield Avenue. The facility includes parts and retail sales areas as well as a nine bay service garage for various repairs while you wait.
The final design layout work included all building services, sales fixture layouts, lighting, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. Assistance was provided for bidding, analysis, and contractor selection. During the course of construction, regular site visits allowed for the processing of contractor payments as well as coordinating construction issues and verifying accuracy of work on the site.
