This custom designed home was the result of working closely with the client to develop the plans to fit the necessary requirements and amenities. Combinations of specific functional, spatial, and aesthetic issues were considered during the refinement of the initial concept and during the creation of the final design.

The two-story entry hall leads to a central gallery and large two-story family room to the rear. Off this central area of the home, are a parlor, dining area, large custom kitchen, and service areas. A first-floor master bedroom suite with a large walk-in-closet and master bathroom is located on the opposite side of the home away from the more public areas. Off the rear, there is an enclosed vaulted poolroom with a high percentage of glass in the exterior walls giving a expansive view of the rear yard.

The upper level has a center balcony that overlooks the entry and the family room areas below. This balcony is the spine that connects the two halves of the upper level which contains a total of three bedrooms, a library, a laundry room, and a large bonus space over the garage. Each of the three bedrooms has a walk-in-closet and a private bathroom.

A traditional exterior appearance is highlighted with a stone front and detailed trims and cornices to accentuate the forms. Dormers are used to bring light into the attic space and to increase the usable bonus room area over the garage. The stonework on the front is also used on the retaining walls to create a consistent and cohesive site and building composition.
