The owner of a bland lake house wanted to recreate the look of the home as a unique structure. At the same time renovations and alterations were completed to bring the outdated home up to current standard, both in design and convenience.
New rooflines and new dramatic windowscapes were created resulting in a rustic cedar lake home. The home has been designed in the “Shingle Style” and an innovative and fanciful roofing construction was provided. The roof’s flowing curves are created with individual cedar shakes that are hand-cut, steamed, and hand-bent to create the sweeping roofs.
In addition to the lake home, a separate garage was also built with the same style to make a pair of unique structures on the lake.
