The original house, which was built in the early 1900’s, is an example of an early traditional American farmhouse. The owner desired to build an addition that would aesthetically blend with the original design.

The exterior proportions were designed to harmonize with the historical style. The architectural elements such as the rooflines, porch design, chimneys, windows, and decorative trim were carefully selected to maintain and compliment the historical character.

The interior layout and circulation paths of the existing home were also revised to enhance the layout and to correspond with the newly added section of the home.
