This project consisted of completely gutting an existing large telecommunications office and control building, and designing a new facility to consolidate the township’s municipal offices and police headquarters.

Numerous interior offices and support areas are arranged into specific zones to allow for the appropriate levels of public interaction with township services. For example, the tax collector is located near the entry to allow easy access for residents and businesses whereas departments not usually accessed by the public are located further away from the public areas. Also easily accessible to the public is a central octagonal core space that allows immediate access to the township engineer, the building construction office, the planning and zoning departments, and to public works.

The police offices, locker rooms, exercise area, dispatch, secure storage, and detainee facilities are provided within the existing building and within a new addition. The municipal court is adjacent to the police department and to publicly accessible areas to allow multiple uses for this flexible area – such as court hearings, council meetings, planning and zoning board meetings.
