The borough needed a new facility for its municipal offices. The existing location that was shared with the police department was too small for their needs. An existing bank building that is located on the main thoroughfare in town was recently vacated and it was decided that this would be a good location to expand to.
The new building houses offices that include administration, finance, tax department, and the building and zoning department. There is also space for the combination council and courtroom, general storage, and additional flexible office space.
Since this was an existing structure, it was very important to utilize the available space to the greatest benefit possible. An efficient and functional layout was developed with the limited area through a series of careful design studies and detailed meetings with the borough. The result is a new facility that meets with the needs of the borough while holding to the budget constraints.
