Chabad is a multifaceted Hebrew network of social, educational and charitable programs to serve the community. The expanding community outgrew the existing building that was designed by Fox Architectural Design for the Chabad Center of Northwest New Jersey in White Meadow Lake. A new building was needed. The proposed new Educational Center will be the home to Chabad’s preschool, Hebrew School, Hebrew High School, and Adult Education programs.
The building’s lower level shall house a private Mikvah and the Chabad’s administrative offices while the Upper two levels shall classrooms and teacher’s offices. The building was carefully located on a sloping site and its location provides the ability to enter at two different levels on the two opposite sides.
The goal was to provide a welcoming presence in the community. This important organization is beneficial to the area, and the building has been designed to enhance the neighborhood.
