Collinson Brothers Landscaping is expanding their operation with a new design center, administrative office, and public showroom building. They were fortunate enough to be able to acquire a vacated auto repair shop site adjacent to their current location. The plan is to demolish the existing garage and construct a new two-story 4,000 square foot farmhouse style commercial building along with a number of site improvements.
Exploration of building materials was important to achieve the look the client desires. The proposed building will have two front elevations – one towards the main road, and the other towards the customer parking lot. Because this is to be a customer-friendly commercial building, the design focuses on handicapped accessibility while maintaining the business layout necessary.
The rest of the site will be cleared and updated as necessary to make a working facility for their operations. Also important is the effect on the neighbors. The site layout and the residential character of the building both are geared towards beautifying and maintaining the area. The landscaping will serve as an example of their work showcasing their abilities at site development and maintenance.
